South Central Regional Conference attendees can compete against other students in the region for a chance to go to the 2024 IISE National Conference. Notably, capstone, internship, and industry projects are eligible, in addition to traditional undergraduate research. To participate, you must send all required materials to Karleigh Eoff (kaeoff@uark.edu) by February 14th, 2024, at 11:59 pm.
Competition Requirements
The purpose of the competition is to encourage undergraduate students at the conference to share outstanding technical papers on undergraduate research or projects.
The winner will advance to a competition at the IISE Annual Conference. The eligibility criteria is as follows:
· Students must be an undergraduate student when the nominated paper is written.
· Paper can be projects done for a company as part of a course, internship, or other activity. They may be undergraduate research projects done at the home institution.
· A faculty member may serve as an advisor on a project, but the work should primarily be done by the students.
· A faculty member cannot be a co-author of the paper.
· Only IISE members are eligible to participate.
· Each participating university, including the host institution, may submit up to two papers as entries.
